The Montgomery
County Career Fire Fighters Association represents over 950
fire fighter/paramedics employed by the Montgomery County
Government. Our organization is the exclusive bargaining agent
for uniformed personnel at the rank of Fire Fighter/Rescuer
I through Fire/Rescue Captain. Additionally, many non-bargaining
unit personnel are members of Local 1664. Our members staff
all of Montgomery County's 34 Fire and Rescue Stations as
fire fighter/paramedics of the Montgomery County Fire &
Rescue Service. The Department employs over 1000 uniformed
fire fighters and paramedics operating in fire stations, performing
fire investigations, bomb squad, fire code enforcement, radio
communications and training.
Montgomery
County, Maryland is bordered by Washington, D.C. to the south,

500 square miles with over 900,000 residents. Density ranges
from high-rise business districts in the south end of the
county to rolling farmland in the northern part of the county.
