PAC Fund

The MCCFFA Political Action Committee (PAC) was formally established in the 80's to help further State and Local legislation that benefits and protects Fire Fighters and Paramedics. Today there are more and more attempts to privatize, downsize, and in general - cut corners. With the dangerous job that we do, we simply can’t stand still and let politicians balance their budgets at the expense of our membership’s lives!

The Career Fire Fighters in Montgomery County have always shown a strong presence prior to and on Election Day. But that is only part of the political picture. Campaigns require a lot of money and in recent years we have been there for a number of candidates when they have needed us. But funding has to come from individual, voluntary contributions. By giving to the PAC, you are combining your dollars with those of your brothers and sisters to have a greater impact in helping our friends get elected. Remember: The PAC endorses and supports candidates that support us!

Recently, politicians that have supported us have helped us obtain 25 year retirement with 60% pension, the DROP, pay raises for all members, and an extra longevity step for members with 20 years of service. It is important that we continue to support candidates that will support us!

You can now sign up online to contribute to Local 1664's PAC fund. Contributions are voluntary and will be deducted automatically from your paycheck. Submit the information below, and PAC Fund Treasurer Jim Beecken will contact you to verify your request and information.

The PAC Fund now has two levels that the President acknowledges with an annual President’s Club award. The first level is $4 or more per pay period and the second level is $10 per pay period. The Presidents award will change from year to year. The garments pictured here are generally what you might expect.

The PAC Fund is an important aspect of Local 1664 and your contribution goes a long way! Encourage your Brother and Sister members to sign up online.

Don’t be confused by the International’s FIREPAC; although as equally important to your career, FIREPAC money goes to candidates at the Federal level. Our PAC money stays at the State and Local level. All members are encouraged to give what they can to both funds.
